The League of Monster Slayers is a group of boys who formed in 1983 in a small town in New England. They built a tree house in the forest as a place to gather and share their adolescent wisdom on the paranormal. However, their childhood games took a dark turn when two mutilated boys were found in the forest in 1987, leading the boys to arm themselves with makeshift weapons and set out to earn their name as monster slayers.
One of the boys, Jackson Miller, had secret abilities and used magic to defeat a wendigo, but the other boys were unaware of his actions. The faculty of Innsmouth Academy, where Jackson attended, covered up the incident and Jackson was reprimanded, but among his peers, he became a legend.
The League stopped speaking of their monster slaying exploits and made a pact to keep their secrets. They also had a "No Girls" policy, but this changed when a girl named Nika Vasquez showed up at the tree house with knowledge of comic book lore and a severed finger, which was too long to be human.
Years passed and the League's members grew up and moved on, but they passed on their stories and secrets to the next generation of Monster Slayers. The current leader, Danny Dufresne, is the last remaining member of the League in Kingsmouth. Despite the passing of time and the changing of generations, the League of Monster Slayers remains vigilant and ready to defend against any paranormal threat that may arise in their small town.
